How to Look Beautiful Without Makeup
They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but it seems like the media has vetoed that philosophy. The idea of beauty appears to be someone who has completely reconstructed their face with plastic surgery or intricate makeup to gain attractiveness through facial symmetry. If you’re like most of the general population, you don’t have the money to pay a glam squad or the time to sit and apply a new face.
The use of makeup has become so widespread that people are even placing it on their bodies to cover additional imperfections. There are some makeup artists that can turn themselves into a different person (gender included). What you must understand is that it is an entertainer’s job to look their best, and not everyone needs to look like a walking billboard. It is totally possible to look beautiful without makeup; it just takes a little time, commitment and a load of confidence!
You’ll look beautiful without makeup if you take care of your skin
One thing you must do to look beautiful is maintain healthy skin. Even if you are a makeup wearer, your makeup will only look as good as your skin does. For example, if you have a face full of acne putting makeup on it may hide the redness, but it could never get rid of its texture. Adopt a new skincare routine, if you aren’t sure how to get started don’t fret I’m here to help.
1. Cleanse your face daily
Do you wash your face daily? Do you use a cleanser when you wash your face? If you want to look beautiful without makeup, you need to answer yes to both of these questions. Washing your face is the most important step in the skincare routine because it helps clear your pores. Pores, or the tiny openings in your skin, can get plugged with dry skin, oil, and debris from the environment and cause acne or other bacterial infections. Your cleanser works like a magnet; it attracts these impacted materials making them easier to wash down the drain. Cleansing can help you achieve skin that is free of blackheads, acne, whiteheads, and excess oil.
2. Exfoliate dry, dull skin away
Exfoliating is essential if you want skin that is soft, smooth, and wrinkle-free. Exfoliation is the act of eliminating dead skin either chemically or physically. All skin cells have an individual life expectancy and when one cell dies a new one rises to the surface. If you are maintaining your health, your new skin should be full of collagen and elastin causing the skin to appear plump and firm. If you have discoloration, your new skin shouldn’t contain it unless it is genetic.
3. Hydrate live skin cells
To keep skin soft and youthful, you need to own a great moisturizer. Essential oils can help hydrate any skin type and won’t feel heavy or sit topically.
4. Moisturizing the skin gives a few instant results:
- The skin will feel plumper.
- Your skin texture will improve.
- Your skin will be more radiant.
- If your skin feels tight adding hydration will provide comfort.
…And a few long-term results:
- Improved elasticity
- Skin will appear firmer
- Wrinkles will reduce
If you have specific skin concerns, invest in a moisturizer that targets them. There are lotions and creams formulated for many issues like acne, redness, discoloration and aging.
5. Protect the skin from environmental damage
Even if the sun isn’t shining bright, its ultraviolet rays can penetrate your skin so you should always wear sunscreen. The Sun is one of the reasons people lose their beauty; it can cause freckles, discoloration, wrinkles, and even skin cancer.
If you’re clueless about sunscreen here are a few things you should know:
- Use sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher to be adequately
- If you want to avoid contact with UVA and UVB rays, purchase a broad spectrum sunscreen.
- Apply two layers of sunscreen over your entire body if you are going to be directly exposed to the sun.
- The power of sunscreen only lasts for about 2 hours then you’ll need to apply more. Powder sunscreens are great for those who wear makeup.
- If you are going to go swimming, use a waterproof sunscreen. If you fail to do this, you will not be protected because the water will wash sunscreen away. Waterproof sunscreen only lasts for about 80 minutes then it should be reapplied.
Eyebrows are crucial
Although the eyes are often the showstoppers of the face, the brows are just as important. Your eyebrows give your face a frame and if changed can make you look completely different. To ensure your brows are fit for your face, you should visit a professional. There are particular points in which your brows should start, arch, and end and goes according to your face shape. Brows that are too thin can ruin a beautiful face making the eyelids look broad and puffy. Think about those who are diagnosed with cancer, if their eyebrows fall out it is quite noticeable that they are sick.
Walk with your head high
You can be the most beautiful person in the world, but if you don’t have enough confidence no one will notice. Being beautiful requires knowing that you are beautiful and caring enough to remain that way. Put on clothes that make you feel sultry or purchase a pair of high heels so that your strut oozes confidence.
Get a fresh hairstyle
Instead of spending time on your makeup use the time to create a cool new style. It doesn’t have to be drastic, maybe a new color or trim will do the trick. If you are someone who wears their hair curly then why not straighten your hair or pin it up?
Watch what you eat
Your diet is one thing that can make or break your beauty. What you eat affects your weight and skin, and if those things aren’t up to par, you can forget feeling beautiful. There is no need to go on a fad diet just make healthier food choices.
